Complete Chiropractic
What Do We Do?

Chiropractic care is natural, simply removing interference to your body's own controlling and healing ability.

It avoids the side-effects associated with trying to control the body with drugs.

Chiropractic concentrates upon the causes of health problems, not merely the symptoms, enabling maximum health to be reached. It is an essential component in the maintenance of your health.

Chiropractic Training

Becoming a Chiropractor requires a five year, full time university education with an emphasis in the biological sciences. Chiropractors complete about the same number of lecture hours as medical practitioners. However, since Chiropractors choose not to prescribe drugs or perform surgery, their education emphasises neurology, diagnostic imaging, physiology, spinal adjusting techniques and clinical subjects.

A Closer Look

After taking a complete case history to review important aspects of your health, Dr John will conduct a thorough examination, which will show any areas of your spine causing problems. He will answer any questions or concerns you may have.

Diagnostic Imaging

Based on your examination findings, X-rays or other types of diagnostic imaging may be necessary. These images can help reveal pathologies, document the history of your spinal health, and guide your Chiropractor in creating a care program based on your unique spinal condition. Complete Chiropractic has the most up-to-date high-tech equipment..

Specific Adjustments

The primary course of care will be specific choropractic adjustments. This will help return individual spinal bones to their proper motion and position. There are hundreds of ways of using carefully directed and controlled pressure to restore better position and motion to 'stuck' or fixated spinal joints. This may require a quick thrust, or in other instances a slow, constant pressure. Sometimes, only one area of the spine is adjusted, and other times the entire spine will receive attention.

At Complete Chiropractic we use special tables and/or instruments, and sometimes the patient's own body weight is used.

Some adjusting approaches can result in a faint 'popping' sound. This sound is created by the shifting of gas and fluid in the joint. The presence or loudness of the sound has little meaning, and varies with each patient.

Other Procedures

Dr John may recommend additional procedures or suggest other ways to help reduce inflammation, provide relief, or enhance the healing process. These may include ice, heat, muscle and soft tissue rehabilitation, nutritional advice, or exercises.

Chiropractic Care is Safe

Chiropractic care is remarkably safe - safer than aspirin, muscle relaxers, and back surgery. Dozens of research studies have documented the safety and effectiveness of chiropractic adjustments compared with traditional approaches. Millions of patients have been delighted with the results of their chiropractic care since chiropractic was discovered in 1895.
